Earlier cricket wasn’t much developed but after the first ODI which was held in 1971 changed the complete face of cricket. It evolved to a great extent and more number of people started developing interest in it. Then it was tuff to even reach a target of 250, but now 300 and 350 also has a chance of losing the game. Thus the Top 5 run chases by India in ODI are given below.
India VS Pakistan
In the Asia cup group, India had to play with Pakistan as the opposite team and with batting first they gave a target of 329 runs to India. Two of their players Jamshed and Hafeez scored centuries. India though had a really bad start with Gambhir getting out at the second ball itself. Later when Virat enters the game, he kind of nailed it. He made a score of 148 runs which is till yet the highest score made in the Asia Cup. Along with Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma at a partnership of 133 and 172 respectively, Virat Kohli made India win the match.
India VS Australia
Two of the run chases by India came in the 2013 ODI series when at first India scored 362 against a score of 359 with Virat Kohli giving a century in 50 balls and Rohit 141 and all in 43.3 overs. The second chase was at Nagpur in the same series when India scored 350 in 49.3 overs and here too Virat made his 100 along with Dhawan.
India VS Sri Lanka

Virat Kohli then did a marvelous job and faced the Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga to achieve match-winning partnerships with Suresh Raina and Gautam Gambhir and made India proud by winning the series in less than 37 overs. It was astonishing to the other team because the target was huge and less overs. The centuries scored by Sangakara and Dilshan were nothing but a waste after they lost the match to India.

India on their turn lost two wickets very early but Rahul Dravid came to the rescue and completed the chase partnering with Yuvraj Singh, Sanjay Bangar and VVS Laxman remaining not out at 109.
India VS England
The best India’s win till date is the NatWest series final where England batted first and gave a target of 325 runs with Captain Nasser Hussain and Trescothick making centuries each. For India, Yuvraj and Kaif were the heroes. India was 146-5 in just 24 overs but they helped India win making a brilliant partnership of 121 runs.
